Blue and Yellow Stars from Night Owl Quilting


Karen made this sweet quilt, as a donation to a new Ukrainian family that is expecting a new baby in the near future.  The pattern is a free download from Pat Sloan's blog called "Quilters Stand for Ukraine."


Karen's fabric choices for the front and the cozy minkee backing are just lovely.  I added the plush pantograph for a light finish to keep it nice and cuddly.

Flannel Star Fling from Night Owl Quilting

 


Reneta loves to use every bit of fabric and not let any go to waste.  Over the last number of years Reneta had been buying bolts of grey flannel wide back and using it on the back of all her quilts.  She averages 20-30 quilts a year, so that makes for a lot of off cuts from long arm quilting.  Reneta took all the odd bits and made a darling little lap quilt.

Karen's Memory Quilts from Night Owl Quilting




I recently had the privilege of quilting three very special quilts for Karen. Karen made three unique memory quilts for her sisters out of their father's shirts.


The first one based on the Crossroads quilt block, got the London Fog pantograph.







The second one got the Gingersnap pantograph.





The third one, based on the "Chandelier 2 " pattern got the Plush pantograph.



When Karen came to pick up the quilts she brought along the labels she had made, and I think they are awesome.  She used the shirt collars in the most creative way.  Each of her sisters selected a ...
